Peter Hughes CNZM

Public Service Commissioner from July 2016 to February 2024.  Prior to this role he served as Secretary of Education for three years, and as Chief Executive at the Ministry of Social Development for 10 years the successor organisation to the agency where he began his career.  Before that, he was Secretary for Internal Affairs, Chief Executive of the Health Funding Authority and Deputy Director-General of Health.
