Adam Powell was placed at Marylands School from 1978 to 1981. He was sent there by his adoptive whānau for the education programme it offered to children who struggled with learning. Adam suffered sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect by the St John of God brothers while at Marylands School. His evidence discussed the impact this abuse has had on his life.
